You're required to take 10 minute breaks (at designated times). You can't have your phone or purse at your desk. You also will be written up if you walk in the grass outside of the office. It's a casual work environment (hoodies and ugg boots), but you can't wear flip flops (unless you're upper management). You can't wear perfume or scented lotion or you get reprimanded. You can't have coffee at your desk, only water. You get reprimanded to chatting to fellow employees. If someone is making phone calls or typing, you can hear it across the office. There is no background music and you have to sit in SILENCE for 8 hours. If you're looking for a company that treats their employees fairly and ethically, and works with them to be successful, you won't find one better than Mystic Stamp. Overall I can't say enough about what a great place it is to work. None of those mice with the cheese, closed up cubicle mazes here. The building itself is very nice, and I love the open air layout. Job expectations are clearly outlined - and we get feedback often - verbal and written, to help keep us on track with our performance. Training for jobs/positions is thorough and questions are encouraged. But the rules are applied fairly across the company - no playing favorites is allowed. No business can survive without structure. There are rules and policies that need to be followed, of course. It even says in our employee handbook that Mystic feels that it's important for us to take vacation annually, and it's really true, we're encouraged to use our vacation time so we can come back refreshed and ready to go! The attendance policy is very fair and is set up in a way that allows employees to manage their work lives and their personal/family lives. From the generous profit sharing bonuses that are paid, to the mid winter treat of delicious oranges in the break room, Mystic goes above and beyond for their employees. I've worked at Mystic for over 10 years and consider myself lucky to have found an employer that treats their employees with so much fairness and respect. Take competitive pay and a great benefit package, and add to it a culture that encourages growth, provides opportunity for advancement and has employees that know they are the company's most valuable resource, and you've got Mystic Stamp! In short, I am very happy with the culture at Mystic, how they treat their colleagues and how much I feel we are all appreciated. Mystic is now Employee Owned!
